Founder & Head Master

Master Hanjin Shin is the founder of Broadway Taekwondo and a 6th Dan Kukkiwon Black Belt with over 20 years of teaching experience.
Born in Taebaek, South Korea, he began training at the age of 7 and earned his black belt by 11. He started teaching as a teenager and later earned a degree in Sports Science from Dong Eui University, where he trained in sparring, poomsae, and demonstrations.
In 2012, Master Shin was selected for the official Kukkiwon International Instructor Internship Program, bringing him to the United States to teach Taekwondo. After serving as Head Master in Virginia and New York, he founded Broadway Taekwondo in 2022.
Master Shin is passionate about helping students build confidence, discipline, and strong character through authentic Korean Taekwondo. Outside the dojang, he enjoys camping, hiking, cycling, and spending time with his wife, daughter, and their cat, Aong.

Master Marco Rosales is a 6th Dan Black Belt with more than 25 years of teaching and training experience. His martial arts journey began in the Bronx, New York, where he trained under renowned Korean martial artist Sang Soo βTigerβ Kim, building a strong foundation in traditional Taekwondo.
Over the years, Master Marco expanded his martial arts knowledge through Taekwondo and Shotokan Karate before earning his black belt in Han Moo Kwan Taekwondo in 2002. In 2013, he founded Bon Yul HanMooKwan Taekwondo Dojang, where he developed a teaching style that combines traditional values with practical techniques for both personal growth and competition.
Known for his passion, creativity, and dedication, Master Marco inspires students to develop perseverance, discipline, and confidence both inside and outside the dojang. His personal philosophy is:
"With a Strong Body Comes a Sound Mind, and with a Sound Mind Comes a Pure Spirit."
Outside the dojang, Master Marco enjoys composing music, painting, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
