Broadway Taekwondo was founded in September 2022 on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. We teach the World Taekwondo (WT) style, formerly known as World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) style, which focuses on Olympic-style sparring, poomsae, and self-defense.

Broadway Taekwondo is an officially registered school with Kukkiwon, the global governing body for Taekwondo. This means that all of our black belt promotions are certified through Kukkiwon, providing students with internationally recognized Kukkiwon black belt certificates.

What is Kukkiwon?

Kukkiwon, also known as the World Taekwondo Headquarters, is the official governing organization for Taekwondo worldwide. Established by the South Korean government, Kukkiwon is responsible for promoting Taekwondo globally, setting standards for belt promotions, and maintaining the integrity of Taekwondo as a martial art and sport.
