Our memberships are billed on a monthly basis through automatic payment.
Monthly billing dates are the 1st, 10th, or 20th of each month, depending on your enrollment date.
When you first join, you will pay two months of tuition:
The first month covers your current month's training.
The second month is held as your final month credit.
Your final month credit is applied when you decide to cancel your membership with proper notice, so there is no additional tuition payment for your last month of training.

No problem! We encourage students to make up any missed classes.
Simply attend another class that matches your child's age and belt level at a convenient time. Regular attendance helps students stay on track with their training and belt progression.
If you're unsure which class to attend for a make-up, feel free to contact us—we're happy to help!

Yes! Memberships may be placed on hold if your child will be away for two weeks or longer.
Please provide written notice (text or email) at least two weeks in advance before your planned absence. This gives us enough time to process your membership hold before your next billing date.
If we receive your notice less than two weeks before your billing date, your scheduled payment may still be processed. In that case, the payment will be kept as a credit and applied when your child returns.
When your child resumes classes, we will adjust your next billing date so you don't lose any of your membership time.
-
If you decide to cancel your membership, please submit a written notice (text or email).
Your final month credit, which was paid at the time of enrollment, will be applied to your last month of training.
To ensure you can use your full final month credit, we recommend providing your written notice at least six weeks (about one and a half months) in advance. This gives us enough time to stop future billing and schedule your final month correctly.
If notice is given too late, additional billing may occur before the cancellation can be processed, and your final month credit may not be used as intended.

For the first class, your child should wear comfortable athletic clothing, such as a T-shirt and athletic pants or shorts that allow for easy movement.
Students train barefoot, so no special shoes are needed on the mat.
We also recommend bringing a water bottle to stay hydrated during class.
-
We recommend attending at least twice a week for the best progress. Training two or more times per week helps students build confidence, improve their skills, and advance more consistently.
We also offer a once-a-week membership for families who have busy schedules. While students can still make progress with one class per week, attending more frequently allows them to learn faster and retain their skills more effectively.
The more consistently your child trains, the more they will grow in both ability and confidence.
-
For beginner students, we typically recommend them for their first belt promotion fairly quickly. We believe that experiencing a belt promotion early gives children a clear goal, helps build their confidence, and shows them what to expect as they continue their training.
As students advance to higher belt levels, the time between promotions usually becomes longer. Higher ranks require stronger technique, better knowledge, and greater consistency.
For Intermediate and Advanced students, we especially recommend attending at least twice a week. Staying at the same belt for too long can be discouraging, and regular training helps students continue progressing at a steady pace.
With the exception of new beginners, belt promotions are by instructor recommendation only. Students must demonstrate that they are ready, and they must receive approval from our instructors before being invited to test for their next belt.

Broadway Taekwondo is closed on major holidays such as Independence Day (July 4), Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. We may also close for other holidays throughout the year, while remaining open on some federal holidays. Any holiday closures will always be announced in advance by email and text message.
In the event of severe weather (such as heavy snow or other unsafe conditions), we will notify all families by text message and email if classes need to be canceled or the schedule is changed. Our top priority is the safety of our students and families.

Yes! Parents are welcome to watch all regular classes unless we announce otherwise for a special event or testing.
We have a designated seating area in the back of the training floor where parents can comfortably observe the class.
To help students stay focused, we kindly ask that parents:
Keep conversations to a minimum.
Avoid calling out to or coaching their child during class.
Allow our instructors to guide and encourage the students.
For Tiny Dino students only, we understand that some children need extra support as they adjust to class. Parents may step onto the mat or assist their child during the beginning of class if needed. As your child becomes more comfortable and independent, we will gradually encourage them to participate on their own.
