Master Marco Rosales began his martial arts journey in 1978 at age 13 in the Bronx, training under Sang Soo “Tiger” Kim, a renowned Korean martial artist. He spent three formative years at Tiger Kim’s dojo, where he trained alongside the Tiger Twins, Simon and James Kim. After his father’s passing in 1981, Master Marco took a brief break to explore music and art but returned to martial arts in 1997 following Tiger Kim’s death. He joined The Fighting Academy, training under Master Robert Tirado, Sensei Louis Ruiz, and Grand Master Sonny Mahai, all of whom influenced his style.
Seeking a more traditional Taekwondo experience, Master Marco trained at Tony’s Taekwondo and later explored Shotokan Karate with Sensei Frank and Kyoshi Derrick Williams. In 2000, he began studying under Grand Master Won Keun Bai and earned his black belt in Han Moo Kwan Taekwondo in 2002.
In 2013, Master Marco founded the Bon Yul HanMooKwan Taekwondo Dojang, blending Taekwondo and Karate to strengthen his students’ skills, especially in competition. His dedication earned him nominations for Instructor of the Year in three Hall of Fame organizations.
Master Marco encourages his students to embrace the true spirit of martial arts, believing that perseverance and discipline define a true martial artist. His philosophy is captured in his quote: “With Strong Body Comes Sound Mind, With Sound Mind Comes Pure Spirit.”
Now a 6th-degree black belt, Master Marco continues to teach, compete, and study martial arts history. He enjoys composing music, painting, and resides in Spanish Harlem with his wife Isabel. He also has 2 beautiful daughters Raquel and Lunna Bella.

Nakul Panwar’s story is a testament to relentless passion, sacrifice, and unbreakable spirit.
At just 5 years old, Nakul stepped onto the path of greatness when his parents sent him to a boarding school dedicated to sports. His talent stood out so brightly that within a few years, the government personally selected him to train at elite national facilities, grooming him for the future. Nakul didn’t just train — he conquered. He became a National Champion, earning his place on National Team at a remarkably young age.
From there, Nakul’s journey turned unstoppable. He rose to become a Sub-Junior, Junior, and Senior National Champion, capturing gold across every major division. He dominated the School Games Nationals, triumphed at the University Games Nationals, and made history by becoming the first-ever athlete from his country to represent at the World University Games in Taipei — the second largest sporting event after the Olympics.
Nakul carried the nation’s pride across the globe, competing in the Asian Championships, World Championships, and Olympic Qualification Championships. His greatest legacy came when he became a Commonwealth Champion, holding the record as the only athlete to win multiple medals at the Commonwealth level, and standing undefeated as a 10-year consecutive National Champion a record few can even dream of touching.
Now, Nakul brings his world-class experience, warrior spirit, and champion mindset to Broadway Taekwondo. As a coach, he is not just teaching martial arts ,he is building future champions. His mission is simple: to inspire, to push beyond limits, and to shape athletes who dream big, work harder, and achieve greatness on every stage they step onto.

Hello, my name is Heejin Im, and I truly love Taekwondo.
I started Taekwondo at age 10 and dreamed of becoming an athlete, even when my parents wanted me to focus on academics. I never gave up and eventually won a Gold Medal in Team Poomsae and a Silver Medal in Sparring at the Busan Mudeokhoe Taekwondo Championship.
Academically, I graduated from law school in Korea and Washington University School of Law as well. And I now work at a law firm, but Taekwondo remains my greatest passion.
I’m currently preparing for my 5th Dan and teaching Taekwondo as a volunteer on weekends. I also hold a 10-year Ashtanga yoga license and enjoy pilates, ballet, and belly dance.
I believe Taekwondo is the only martial art that truly strengthens both body and mind. In Korea, we say it teaches benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom, and strength (인·의·예·지·체)—core values that shape respectful and resilient individuals.
Don’t hesitate—come join us and feel the spirit of Taekwondo!

Hello! I’m James Beatty, a Kukkiwon‑certified third‑degree black belt who began his Taekwondo journey with the MIT Sport Taekwondo Club during college. After graduation, I continued training at Yoo’s Martial Arts in Virginia, earning both my black belt and, later, my 3rd Dan under 9th‑Dan Grandmaster Jun Saeng Yoo. Now in New York for over 10 years, I’m preparing for my 4th Dan test under Master Shin at Broadway Taekwondo. I’m especially happy for the opportunity to train, teach, and grow alongside our students—particularly the kids—while sharing the discipline, respect, and perseverance that have made Taekwondo such a rewarding lifelong practice.

Hi! My name is Abigail, but you can call me Abby. I’m from the Upper West Side of New York City. I started Taekwondo in 2022, and I earned my poom belt in 2024. In 2025, I became a junior assistant, which has been so much fun!
My favorite part of Taekwondo is doing poomsae. Right now, my favorite one is Taeguk 8 Jang. I’ve competed in the New York International Championships in Queens twice, and I won gold medals in poomsae! I want to keep joining tournaments and work hard to become a great athlete.
Right now, I’m training for my black belt promotion. My big dream in Taekwondo is to become a Master one day.
As a junior assistant, I really enjoy helping my friends—holding targets and boards, and helping them with their poomsae.
Outside of Taekwondo, I love outdoor activities like running and playing badminton. I also enjoy drawing and making origami!
